About me
Hi, I'm Eve Matsdotter.
I've spent my life chasing stories in all their forms, driven by a passion for creativity and the power of storytelling.
All my endeavors, including songwriting, producing, and visual development, have led me back to my core passion: creating something that resonates with people.
A diagnosis of tuberculosis and the loss of my father in 2024 forced me to reevaluate my priorities. As I recovered, I found solace in books and rekindled my childhood aspiration to write prose. Now, I'm channeling my energy into crafting my debut romantasy novel, a tale of fate, devotion, magic, and resilience that comes from the heart.
These days, I juggle writing scenes with my full-time job, gaming adventures with my fiancé, and dog-led walks. If you're drawn to romantasy that feels authentic, hopeful, and creatively written, I'd love to connect with you. After all, stories are meant to be shared, and I have many more to tell.
How I Write
The feeling I want on the page.
The philosophy behind every word, drawn from the way the story actually comes out.
The body knows first
Feeling lives in the body before the mind names it. I'll show you a throat going tight or palms going clammy long before I tell you a heart is breaking.
The big things, said small
When everything is on the line, I reach for fewer words, not more. Sometimes a whole world ends in two of them.
Love that's earned
Slow burn, every time. The restraint, the almost, the moment you waited the whole book for. I write longing the way it actually feels.
Armour over the heart
My characters joke and deflect and look anywhere but at the thing that matters, so when the truth slips out, it lands all the harder in the quiet after.
My Debut Dystopian Romantasy Novel
Her greatest enemy is the power in her blood... and the heart she can't ignore. Follow along as I pants my way through writing my first book. Updates, sneak peeks, and milestone celebrations - you'll be there for all of it.
