I'm Eve Matsdotter, an author, and this site is my own. You can reach me through the contact form on the About page.

Newsletter: your email address, and any interests you tick (beta reader, street team) when you sign up.

Contact form: your name, email, and message.

Analytics: anonymous usage data such as pages visited and rough location, only after you accept cookies.

Vercel Web Analytics counts page visits without cookies and without identifying you.

Metricool counts visits to this site without cookies and without storing anything on your device. For each page you view, it receives the page address (with any email address or subscriber details removed first), your browser window size and the address of the page that linked you here, if there was one. Like any website request, it also sees your IP address, but the IP address is not stored. I only see anonymous, combined visit statistics, never who you are. I never sell your data, and I don't send you anything you didn't ask for.

A few trusted services process data on my behalf, each receiving only what it needs: Kit (ConvertKit) for the newsletter, Google Analytics for anonymous usage stats, Metricool for cookie-free visit statistics, Vercel for hosting, Storyblok for content, and Notion for contact messages and a log of newsletter sign-ups that records which form and page you used and how you arrived, never your name or email address. Welcome emails are sent through Mailjet, which processes your email address on my behalf.

Analytics cookies load only if you click Accept on the cookie banner. You can decline and the site works exactly the same. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time. Metricool and Vercel Web Analytics count visits without cookies, so they run whether or not you accept. Some posts include a YouTube video. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play; the video then plays in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and from that point YouTube's own privacy policy applies.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter with one click in any email.

You can ask me what data I hold, or ask me to delete it, by getting in touch. I'll respond promptly.

This site isn't aimed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their data.

If this policy changes, I'll update the date above. Significant changes will be shared with subscribers.
